LFW #8: CHARLES ANASTASE Spring/Summer 2011

Charles Anastase's collection is notably darker than any of the other Spring/Summer collections presented so far at LFW. Even the models with their dark eye make-up look as if they inhabit a dark underworld. The colours are more muted than one might expect from a collection for the sunnier seasons and are accompanied with black hosiery. It is a strange collection, it might be argued but it is, nonetheless, a beautiful one.
