Style Icon: Freja Beha Erichsen

Before starting to write this blog, I had little idea about models, other than the fact that they inhabit a completely different world to mine. Sure, I knew who Kate Moss and the other "supers" were but that's as far as it went. Then I discovered a whole new world of Style Icon.

Freja Beha Erichsen is the bad girl of the catwalks; she famously made a deal with her agent that she could have as many tattoos as she liked as long as she didn't cut her hair. Then she cut her hair. She has sixteen tattoos, at last count.

Her "off-duty" street style is relaxed rock 'n' roll chic. She is my kind of girl - choosing a sombre palette of mainly black.

She is regularly photographed for the covers of Vogue magazine around the world, including Vogue Paris, Vogue Korea, Vogue Italia and British Vogue:

For the Spring Summer 2011 shows, Freja Beha was seen on numerous catwalks, including Marc Jacobs, Valentino, YSL and Chanel:
