I surfed on to this page (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productlist.aspx?fprint=yes) and notice MS introducing fingerprint technologies. And i think its a pretty good idea. I want to know if it was mac compat. or if apple was considering introducing something like this in the future. or just what pple thought in general about it.
I don't think that would be OS X compatible.

If it is indeed a dead pixel, which it looks to be, Apple most likely will not replace it, considering that only one out of 1,049,088 pixels on the screen is a dud.

Get the Crucial 1333MHz, as you need that speed definitely for your iMac, and I assume your laptop uses it as well. If your laptop uses the slower speed, it will not work in your iMac
According to a google result when I typed in the Ram Model part that CPU-Z told me, the Ram in my Dell is 1066. So for a fact this won't work in my iMac at all, even those it is the same 204-pin ddr3 ram?

We know that. The question is if it's possible to have power between 6 pin and 9 pin for each direction (cable issue?)

So since it is Wednesday I am assuming this amounted to absolutely nothing.
No... it amounted to some spectacular Northern Lights displays. My wife showed me bunch that were captured last night and posted to the web.... I don't know where she found them.... but they were spectacular. :)

The only thing i would worry about is if Nintendo pulls a M$ and when/if they release online games that they won't let you online because you modified your hardware.
I know nothing about Wii modchips, but can't you just disable the chip when you want to play online? That's how the chip in my PS2 works.

Can you still see all your RAM? Is there anything running in the background like Seti@Home and so on?

Have to agree with others about the vaguely disturbing elements to the avatar. I'm glad you developed the avatar, if only so that you brought this singer to my attention, but there IS something unnerving about that apple and her eye.....

I suggest TextWrangler and CSSEdit.
I'd recommend avoiding WYSIWYG editors; once you learn the language, you will be able to produce much more elegant code than the editor.
Even the latest version of DreamWeaver doesn't fully support CSS in WYSIWYG - and it will be very hard for it to in any future version. No two broswers display CSS the same way, so doing WYSIWYG in CSS is pretty much like throwing darts at a board. :p
CSSEdit is really nice since it makes it very easy to navigate IDs and Classes, and it has auto-completion. The free version lets you create like 1200 lines of CSS or something, so you can get by with it (you can use it just to create the CSS, then just copy the text over to TextWrangler to save as large as you want).
Just my $0.02

hmm. do we have any numbers for other machines folding the same units? i would like to see how it stacks up to an i7 920 at stock speeds.
Maybe we should create a thread here for that? I know there's some on the actual folding forums but one here may be easier to navigate.

Its a nice shot but i don't really get a sense of scale, i don't get the feeling for how big the mountain is.
What could I have done differently to achieve better scale?

TBH,the name reminds me of the "B-Sharps" from the Simpsons "a name that's witty at first, but that seems less funny each time you hear it". Also it doesn't roll off the tongue. I'd keep trying... good luck.

What is a good app for a newbie to create a webpage? I want something simple and easy, free would be a plus. I also have a simple knowledge of html.
technical speaking vi from the terminal; which means open up terminal and typing "vi" is the hardest app to work with. however, if you can learn vi which has a fairly high learning curve and be able to create webpages it will assure you that you can use any html editor of your choice without any problems. the down side vi is quite confusing if you never used before. the up side is your'll be able to use any *nix flavored server and be able to create a webpage without the aid of the special software because vi is installed on ever unix severs. however, if you don't need the functionality go with bbedit or subthaedit.

Yup, I tried fixing the permissions, says the group was 0 instead of 80. After that and I reboot same thing
During a verbose boot does it hang on the same thing each time?
