The End?

On Friday, I graduated from my masters' course at Cardiff University with an MSc Econ in European Governance and Public Policy. It was the culmination of two and a half years of hard work and a very special day that I shared with my family.

It all went well - apart from the moment I almost lost my cap before the ceremony. As we were walking to St David's Hall in Cardiff city centre I had put my cap on and pinned it, despite my mother telling me that it was too windy! Well, she was unfortunately proved right as we stood at the traffic lights and a gust of wind caught the back of the cap and took it flying off into the road and into the path of the oncoming traffic. My mother ran to retrieve it as a car slammed on its brakes. Fortunately, both mother and cap were fine. Why is it that mothers always right?

These last couple of photos are of my stylish sis - don't you love her dress - and me, playing catch with my cap. Unintentionally. I thought it might be fun to throw it in the air but the wind - mentioned above (!) - carried it a little further than expected!

Now that I have graduated, I have to decide what to do with my life. Whether I continue as a student and pursue a PhD or whether I settle down and work? Neither sounds very tempting right now. Maybe I don't have to decide. Just yet.

I am wearing: my graduation gown and cap, H&M skirt, New Look shirt, New Look shoes and H&M ring. I had absolutely no idea what to wear, so I went with the boring "waitress" look.
