Since it appeared on the Burberry Prorsum catwalk for Autumn/Winter 2010 in London in February this year, the aviator has been the coat of the season:
At London Fashion Week - which finished just over a week ago now - almost every second fashionista was seen in an aviator jacket, either "the real thing" or a bargain "copy".
With a retail price of over £2,000, the Burberry jacket is likely out of most people's budgets. But that is no need to dispair as every shop on the high street - or so it seems - has produced their own version, from as little as £30:
