Boston Tea Party: Brunch

Felt very American when my (super stylish) sis took me for brunch on Saturday morning at the Boston Tea Party café in Worcester. They are a small chain of cafés across the South West, from Worcester to Bristol and Bath to Exeter with a huge menu for both breakfast and lunchtime culinary delights. The Worcester café has kept the original features of the building and simply given them a lick of paint to brighten it which has kept a bit of authentic atmosphere. Bare wooden tables and chairs - with a few obligatory sofas - provide rustic seating in a bright open space.

The breakfast menu was so extensive that I was hard pressed to make a choice: from toast and eggs with a number of various accompaniments to waffles - also with a variety of additional options, including bacon and maple syrup - and, of course, a full English. As well as every possibly imaginable drink of choice. It reminded me of being back in New York and the wonderful breakfasts we had every day at the diner across from our hotel. Have not ever eaten better.

A flat white was my drink of choice, whilst (super stylish) sis had a vanilla latte:

The obligatory poses (!!):

And my choice for brunch? Toasted bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon:

(Super stylish) sis chose a very yummy looking scrambled eggs (and tomatoes) on toast and bacon:

I can see this being my eatery of choice when "home" for Christmas!
