Shannon asked me the following questions, which you too might like to ponder:
What luxuries do you include in your day-to-day life?
What luxuries do you hope to enjoy in the future?
How do you define luxury?

Now, if you would like to read my answers, you'll have to sign up for the weekly newsletter on The Simply Luxurious Life before next Friday (19 November) and read them on there. It wouldn't really be fair to post them here now, would it?
I would like to take something that Amanda wrote in her post on Forty Not Out:
"There are times in life when we all appreciate a little luxury. I’m not talking the big ticket items – you don’t have to spend a fortune to feel special. Sometimes it’s as simple as bottle of wine that costs a few pounds more, a new book that you’ve been looking at for weeks but kept walking past, or an ultra-soft merino wool scarf to snuggle into on a cold morning."

For me, this sums up the essence of luxury so completely. It isn't about having the money to live an extravagantly luxurious lifestyle, it is about appreciating the little (and simple) luxuries which present themselves each day.
Remember to sign up to the newsletter to read my answers next week, but for now:
