What would you spend £40,000 on?

Paypal, the online payment service, are offering one very lucky shopper per week the opportunity to win £40,000!! Yes, you did read that right!

So I got to thinking...

What you could do with £40,000?

You could treat yourself to the holiday of a lifetime, to New York perhaps? And while you're at it, why not shop till you drop in one, or all, of the cities department and fashion stores? Sak Fifth Avenue anyone?

Or you might like to treat yourself to a sporty set of wheels?

Of course, there is always the sensible - and not necessarily boring - option, to use the money as a deposit on a house of your very own? Or to spend a little and save a lot?

Whatever you decided to do with it, £40,000 would certainly come in handy!

So, how can you win the cash? Easy peasy! Shop, of course!

All you have to do to be entered into the prize draw - which happens every week - is to shop using Paypal to pay for your goodies. And every time you shop, you get entered. So more shopping = more chances to win £40,000!

And after a little research I discovered that it's not only eBay with whom you can use Paypal, many of our high street favourites welcome this payment method too: from Asos and Next to Zara and Topshop!

So, if you were to do all of your Christmas shopping online - thus, avoiding all of those horrible crowds at the shops - and use Paypal, you will also be in with a chance to win yourself a very welcome Christmas present too!!

You can find out all about the competition here.

You can find the Terms and Conditions here.

I decided to take a look at what you could buy - and therefore enter the competition - from the stores above. I haven't spent much time on the Zara website but now I can't get myself off it. It is filled with wonderful winter coats (it's suddenly turned very cold here and all I can think about is wrapping up warm!):

This luxurious looking camel wrap-around coat:

This elegant riding-style cape:

This cosy looking poncho:

But it's not only coats that caught my eye. This long cable-knit dress looks so warm:

And this camel-coloured midi skirt ticks two trend boxes for this season:

Now tell me, what will you be buying from Zara this season? And, more importantly, how would you spend £40,000?
