London Fashion Week S/S 11, Day One

Peter Pilotto, LFW S/S 11
David Koma, LFW S/S 11
Holly Fulton, LFW S/S 11
Mary Katrantzou, LFW S/S 11.
Dominic Jones, LFW

After the months of preparation for London Fashion Week, it finally arrived in Somerset House this September and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

Here is a round-up of London Fashion Week, apologies that it has taken so long to get this posted; it was delayed by a week’s holiday after LFW for muchos relaxation and recuperation.

So, I spent the morning of day one at Somerset House checking out the NEWGEN exhibition which was full to the brim with exciting young designers. The highlights for me were Peter Pilotto, David Koma, Holly Fulton, Mary Katrantzou and Dominic Jones.

Estethica was then next on my exhibition list, and there were such a great eclectic mix of designers. My favourites were Angel Jackson and Goodone.Click on links to read my previous posts.

A/W Shopping Wish List

The best thing about the change of season is creating a new wardrobe from existing favourites and carefully trawling through magazines, the net and shops and making notes on the perfect autumn/winter additions.

There seems to be a plethora of great pieces to be had this season, here is a much refined list of my absolute favourites:
  1. Angel Jackson snakeskin lianto handbag - A beautiful classic handbag that will be such a great investment for years to come.
  2. Fingerless gloves - The gloves that keep your hands warm as well as allowing you to apply lip gloss, text, and rummage in your bag for your keys/purse/oyster card. What more could you want?
  3. Anything from Cos this season - I keep on raving to anyone who will listen at the moment about Cos' A/W collection; it is quite honestly amazing! So much so that I've blown my monthly food/socialising/clothing/emergency budget on Cos clothes last Thursday. Bring on next payday.
  4. Silk shirt -I have been trawling for a beautiful silk shirt for about 18 months now with no luck. May the search continue.
  5. The perfect skinny trousers from Gap - As seen in every fashion page in the past month. However I have trawled many Gap stores in the past few weeks only to find that they have been sold out. A shop assistant did helpfully suggest the other day that I ate solidly for a fortnight to fit into the last pair of larger skinny trousers if I really wanted a pair, I'm tempted...

Wish list: Angel Jackson

Top of my wish list at the moment is an Angel Jackson bag. I love with the gladiator studded tote (top) and the feather lianto.

Sent from Heaven

I have lately been obsessing over fashions most guarded secret: Angel Jackson. Recently, I have spent every waking hour gorging over the bags, belts and clutches on their website, http://www.angeljackson.com/. Who can resist their bold, angular styles, stand-out designs, and that eye-catching signature jaguar motive?

I love that in our Primark-age where ethics are traded in for poor working conditions and child labour that this label has taken a moral stance to be entirely ethically sourced and provide good working conditions for its staff whilst still being completely glamorous.

Since being launched in 2005, the beauty of this label has not gone unnoticed by celebrities and fashionistas alike, it is a hit with the likes of Sienna Miller, Kirsten Dunst, Alexa Chung and Cheryl Cole.

Thankfully, I can breathe easily, Angel Jackson is now available on asos.com.

2009 will also see Angel Jackson show at the Esthetica section of the Exhibition during London Fashion Week.
