30 for 30 Challenge: Day 25
Only five more days to go - you excited to see what I have in store for the next five outfits? Yes, me too! I have found that all planning of outfits has gone out of the window since I started the 30 for 30 challenge and I have been getting out of bed each morning and putting together the best outfits I can from what I feel like wearing from the 30 items I chose.
Today I am wearing: Next dress (£30); Marks and Spencer belt (£2) and Spartoo heels.
30 for 30 Challenge: Day 24
Today I decided to try a preppy look:
I rarely wear a shirt but during my wardrobe detox at the beginning of the year I realised that I didn't actually own one that I liked. I always end up feeling a little like a waitress when I put one on. Not long after I'd put a white shirt on my "to buy" list I found this one on sale in Dorothy Perkins and decided to pick it up. I therefore chose it as one of my 30 items to try to make myself more comfortable with it. But then it took me until the 23rd outfit to wear it and now it is having its second outing: what do you think?

Super Stylish Sister: #1
My Super Stylish Sister has agreed to be featured here each week for next few months:
Super Stylish Sis has, in fact, recently started her very own blog - Home Sweet Homemade Home - which is rather fabulous, so please go check it out:
Super Stylish Sister is wearing: River Island hat, Marks and Spencer coat, Next faux fur muff (a gift from her very generous big sis!! Moi, in case you wondered!!) and EMU boots.
I'm not sure there is any more stylish manner in which to keep your hands warm than with a faux fur muff?!
30 for 30 Challenge: Day 23
Audrey Hepburn is my all-time Style Icon and I absolutely adore her outfits in Sabrina:
So for outfit 23, I took this as my inspiration:
I am wearing: Marks and Spencer roll-neck, Gap jeans and Next pumps.

Two thirds of the way there!!!! If I'm honest, when I started this challenge I really wasn't sure I'd get this far! I'm still struggling to be inspired by the 30 items at the moment but I'm hoping this will change in the next couple of days and I am planning to up the styling for some more madcap outfits:
Today I've gone for the casual look, I'm wearing: Marks and Spencer jumper, Gap jeans and Next pumps.
What do you think of the casual outfit for today?

Sorry for the slight pause in proceedings on the 30 for 30 challenge. I am still on - don't worry, I haven't given up again!
This is today's outfit. You will have noticed, I love this dress. I am also starting to love the waist belt. I usually dress this dress down but today decided to add the Next heels for a bit of work chic:
I am wearing: Asos dress (£19), Marks and Spencer belt (£2) and Next heels (£30).

LFW Special: What's in my bag?
Tomorrow I am off to London for the weekend to catch up with some old friends from my uni days but that's not before I've dropped in on Somerset House to soak up the atmosphere of London Fashion Week!! To say I am excited would be an understatement. A huge understatement.
For the past two seasons my application for Fashion Week has been accepted but something has prevented me from being in the capital every time. This year, I will be there.
So tonight I am packing my bags for a fun-filled weekend away. For ages now I have been meaning to do a "what's in my bag?" post, as many other bloggers have done. But my bag is usually so filled to the brim with pointless rubbish that it would not make for a very interesting post at all. Tonight, though, I have actually cleared out the crap and have - what I think - are the essentials for a day at London Fashion Week:
Inside my Next bucket bag is: Moleskine diary; Oyster card; train tickets and pass; Marks and Spencer arm warmers; Moleskine notebook; Samsung Wave II mobile phone (c/o The Now Project); TRESemmé hairbrush; pens; Burt's Bees lip care; Avon lipstick; and book. And in the final photo, you can see my camera too - which will obviously be coming with my to London.
Yep, it really is a Mary Poppins bag!
Now, I just need to get myself to bed soon and get some zzzzzs so that I'm ready for a busy day tomorrow!
30 for 30 Challenge: Day 10 and Happy Valentine's Day
Not looking completely "with it" in this photo (as my mother would say!) - clearly I needed the coffee in my hand!
I am wearing: Next aviator jacket (not a part of the 30 for 30 challenge but a necessity on a cool morning!), H&M scarf, Primark long sleeved tee, Topshop jeans and Oasis bottines.
My clothes look similar for the past few days because I have had to head home for a few days due to a family bereavement and I seemed to forget to pack anything!! Oh well. Back to my "full" 30 for 30 wardrobe tomorrow.
What is everyone up to on Valentine's Day? The boyf and I are not together today but my (very sweet and super stylish!) sis did give me a card:
30 for 30 Challenge: Day 7
Today's post and it is the first appearance of my red tunic. I think. Yes, it is. (I checked!)
I am wearing: Dorothy Perkins tunic, Next leopard print pumps, Dorothy Perkins necklace and Topshop leggings.
What do you think of the ensemble? I have no idea how else to style this? Besides maybe with a different pair of heels, or over my skinny black jeans? Anyone got any better ideas?
I love the bow detail on the shoulders of the tunic:
The boyf and I are off to see The Social Network now (yes, I know, we are a little late on that one!) with Orange's BAFTA screenings.
Last week I mentioned the debate which has been on-going over whether to re-mix or not. Tiffany of A Reason to be Fabulous wrote a fantastic post outlining her reasons for re-mixing - I highly recommend reading it.

30 for 30 Challenge: Day 5
So, it would seem that weekend posting (without being able to schedule) is near impossible for me. Therefore, I will be taking a little longer to complete the 30 for 30 Challenge and will be spreading it over 5 weeks and only weekdays. Apologies for this but I am commited to completing it this time and this is the only way I can see to do it. Please bear with me!
Therefore, without further ado, let me show you my fifth outfit in the challenge:
Today's look is "a little French", or so the boyf told me this morning! What do you think?
I don't often mix prints but think this works:
I have one further confession to make. No, these shoes were not in the original line-up! Unfortunately when the Next jeans arrived they didn't fit properly so they had to go back and I exchanged them for these pumps. I have therefore put my old faithful Gap skinny jeans (wearing today!) in place of the Next jeans and added these pumps into the place of my Converse trainers which I realised were a complete cop-out and something that I do not really wear anymore! My other mystery shoes will be unveiled tomorrow or Wednesday... So, watch this space!
I am wearing: Gap breton tee (£14.99, £9.99), Marks and Spencer cardigan (gift from stylish sis), Gap skinny jeans (£49.95, £24.99) and Next pumps (£35).

After asking which sort of posts you would most like, someone asked for more outfit posts. So here you go. For my first day back to work today, I wrapped up with my lovely new snood (from my darling mother - via Marks and Spencer - for Christmas) and thought it would be a perfect occasion to start using my new (bargainous) handbag (half price from Next):
As noted previously, I love details:
What do you think of the outfit? And my bargain sale find? What have you bought in the sales?
On the Twelfth Day of Christmas...
My true love sent to me...
... twelve dreamy dresses:
... Eleven perfect pumps,
Ten winter leggings,
Nine heels for dancing,
Eight must-have bags,
Seven swimming costumes,
Six tops for layering,
Five pretty rings,
Four bird-themed gifts,
Three chic outfits,
Two turtle necks,
And a tree patterned sweater.
