Mary Katrantzou, London Fashion Week A/W 11

As you may have already guessed,
I am a big Mary Katrantzou fan!
It has been my favourite show at both London Fashion Week S/S 11 and A/W 11, where both collections were heavily influenced by household interiors.
Last year's show Katrantzou labelled 'the room on the women',
whereas this year was entitled 'the women in the room'.

The prints in Katrantzou's recent show were just beautiful from the floral patterns on the knitwear and trousers, to the
ming vase-inspired panels on the waist
of the long, flowing, luxurious skirts.
I just can't wait to see what she has in store
for us next season!

Hooray for Edina Ronay!

Back in the eighties, Edina Ronay's designs were a regular feature in all the glossy magazines, and a young That's Not My Age was the proud owner of one of her vintage-inspired-hand-knits in a lovely shade of primrose. Sadly, I've absolutely no idea what happened to that gorgeous cotton cardigan but I do know that the knitwear designer has launched a fabulous new website featuring bespoke cashmere pieces.

1. She studied at Central St Martins and RADA and has worked as both an actor and a fashion designer.
2. Her knitwear is worn by the likes of Nicole Kidman, Jerry Hall and Kate Moss.
2. The first thing Ronay knitted was a brightly coloured jacket and Peruvian hat for her baby daughter, Shebah.
3. Edina Ronay's work is inspired by forties films and impressionist painters.
4. She is the daughter of restaurant critic, Egon.



The website currently sells sweaters, cardigans and scarves but accessories and homewares will be arriving in autumn/winter 2011.

Winter Blogging Kit

Whoa it's chilly in the That's Not My Age office/our spare room today. So cold, in fact, I'm wearing my dressing gown over my clothes. Pretty damn stylish, eh? To help overcome any further indoor fashion blunders, I've found some lovely winter accessories to help you keep warm and carry on blogging:

1. Cosy up an old office chair with a cute knitted cushion (or just cling onto it for comfort when Blogger crashes, see above)

2. Fingerless gloves allow hands to rattle away at the keyboard in sub-zero temperatures. That's Not My Age has been wearing a pair for days.



3. If like me, your desk is by the window, a polo neck jumper makes the perfect draft excluder:



4. A hectic office schedule (sitting around for hours on end, looking at the pretty snow) calls for at least one pair of chunky knit socks:
