from the model perfect top knot to the fishtail as seen at Erdem A/W 11.

I'm currently thinking of changing my hair style/colour for the summer.

I will keep you posted on what I decide...

Holly Fulton A/W 11

Last week I attended the Talk Store PR press day

which featured one of my favourite designers: Holly Fulton.

Here was one of Holly Fulton's beautiful A/W 11 art deco print dress

with Swarovski crystals.

Mary Katrantzou, London Fashion Week A/W 11

As you may have already guessed,
I am a big Mary Katrantzou fan!
It has been my favourite show at both London Fashion Week S/S 11 and A/W 11, where both collections were heavily influenced by household interiors.
Last year's show Katrantzou labelled 'the room on the women',
whereas this year was entitled 'the women in the room'.

The prints in Katrantzou's recent show were just beautiful from the floral patterns on the knitwear and trousers, to the
ming vase-inspired panels on the waist
of the long, flowing, luxurious skirts.
I just can't wait to see what she has in store
for us next season!

Backstage at Osman, London Fashion Week A/W 11

Osman is known for his architectural designs for the thinking woman, and this was certainly the case at London Fashion Week A/W 11.

The hair and beauty being created backstage were strictly architectural too, with black, shoulder-length, angled bobs being clipped.

The look that Osman wanted to resemble was: ‘I have been up all night cutting my hair with my boyfriend’s clippers, my bangs are too long but I am hiding behind my fringe.’ This hung on the wall as a mantra for the stylists. However, my personal favourite was the line, ‘Think about chopping vegetables.‘ Needless to say that a designers’ creative license is greater than yours or mine...

The result was a chic and edgy look which echoed the designs from the collection. I’m sure that we’ll see this look coming to a street near you...

Hair and Beauty at Erdem, London Fashion Week A/W 11

Hair and beauty are key to the catwalk looks at London Fashion Week. One name never to disappoint in this category is Erdem.

From last year’s romantic ballet plait and golden glow make-up to this year’s fish tail plait and smoky eyes, Erdem is always one of my favourite inspirations!

London Fashion Week A/W 11, Street Style

One of the best things about London Fashion Week is the people watching, in and around Somerset House.

I could spend endless hours looking at the street style on offer in the most creative of all the fashion capital's.

Here are some of my favourite street style photos:

I love the combination and strength of the black-rimmed glasses, gothic lipstick and green boyfriend blazer.

Great gold studded detail on these otherwise casual trainers.

This gentleman reminds me of a forgotten age, with the cravat, military coat, tweed trousers and highly-polished shoes.

Who said that fashion is for the youth.

A big thumbs up!

Colour blocking - my favourite trend this season!

Teamed with a felt hat and she's good to go.

One of those looks that would never work on paper,

but in person it's a triumph.

This is all that's great with English eccentricity.

I saw bow ties on men everywhere at LFW (inc. three on the front row at E. Tautz alone). Men start digging out yours!

Jonathan Saunders, London Fashion Week A/W 11

Jonanthan Saunders created one of my favourite collections of London Fashion Week!

The collection is a beautiful mixture of roaring 20s

inspired prints, including a beautiful bird print

(a LFW mini-trend in itself this year).

I loved the colour palette from the shades of emerald and sapphire to the soft cream and sophisticated black.

What I love more than the shows itself is

spending time backstage.

I really enjoy watching the whole process unfold from the hair and make-up to the catwalk run-through.

Jonathan Saunders was a particularly good show to be at backstage as there was a fantastic atmosphere!

Mulberry A/W Preview Day

At the end of last week I went to the Mulberry preview day which launched their A/W collection.

I have been meaning to blog about this all week but I’ve been so manic with the build-up to London Fashion Week. However I have finally found a moment of quiet before the storm. (The storm being ten friends descending on me for food and wine, wish me luck as I’ve yet to prepare a thing!)

I’ve never looked at Mulberry as being much more than a handbag and leather goods label but I was sooo pleasantly surprised when I saw their entire A/W collection!

I was blown away by the wearability of its classic designs and I had dreamt up a wish list of 10+ products by the time my guided tour ended.

The highlights for me were the brown suede cropped coat, cream swing trench with large gold buttons and the oversized tartan scarf.
