Current Hair Loves

Here are some of my favourite hair styles at the moment
from the model perfect top knot to the fishtail as seen at Erdem A/W 11.

I'm currently thinking of changing my hair style/colour for the summer.
I will keep you posted on what I decide...

Backstage at Osman, London Fashion Week A/W 11

Osman is known for his architectural designs for the thinking woman, and this was certainly the case at London Fashion Week A/W 11.

The hair and beauty being created backstage were strictly architectural too, with black, shoulder-length, angled bobs being clipped.

The look that Osman wanted to resemble was: ‘I have been up all night cutting my hair with my boyfriend’s clippers, my bangs are too long but I am hiding behind my fringe.’ This hung on the wall as a mantra for the stylists. However, my personal favourite was the line, ‘Think about chopping vegetables.‘ Needless to say that a designers’ creative license is greater than yours or mine...

The result was a chic and edgy look which echoed the designs from the collection. I’m sure that we’ll see this look coming to a street near you...

Hair and Beauty at Erdem, London Fashion Week A/W 11

Hair and beauty are key to the catwalk looks at London Fashion Week. One name never to disappoint in this category is Erdem.

From last year’s romantic ballet plait and golden glow make-up to this year’s fish tail plait and smoky eyes, Erdem is always one of my favourite inspirations!

Emo Hair Style

Emo Hair Style
Emo is not only a hairstyle; it is one practice! The hair style was begun by a group of teenager's tagged emos, or one who liked to listen to expressive music and emos started style by a way they dressed. Dress was plain and holed jeans as well as thick clothing were the beginning because style then soon turned in hair. The Emo hair styles today are not used or else worn by completely devoted Emos but are in its place found on lots of individuals who find a look very stylish!
With the emo hairstyles, everything goes, given that it does not look like something like a prom queen and king would dress in. Most the emo girls generally dye their hair black. Lots of emo boys have got the jet black hair, however it is not widespread. Any of the black dye may do, and bolder the effect, better. You don’t need to worry about dye jobs looking very natural, as lots of emo hair styles are clearly dyed. You may want to freshen edges with the frosted highlights, purple and blue, but ensure these shades show through a black dye. If you are looking forward to looking into the Emo hairstyle for first time then it is suggested to go to stylist who has got experience with that look.

Hair Extensions

http://trendyhairstylewomen.blogspot.com/Hair extensions have become very popular in the last decade with many celebrities taking advantage of the instant volume and length. However, this is an expensive process and there are a few things to watch out for.
Hair extensions are lengths of either real or synthetic hair that can be affixed close to the scalp through a number of ways such as braids, weaves, bonding, metal tubing, heat shrink tubing & adhesive based bonding. When done correctly, hair extensions are not noticeable…no one can tell if you’re wearing them. They can provide volume, extend hair, and add highlights or lowlights without the harshness of coloring your own hair. Some extensions can be worn continuously for up to 3 months before requiring maintenance.
Hair extensions come in many colors, textures, styles and lengths to match any hair type. Natural or human hair extensions are more expensive than synthetic hair because they can be colored, set, curled or treated. Synthetic hair will melt if exposed to the high temperatures of a curling iron or a hot blow dryer; it is used as purchased, and is generally not recommended. Synthetic extenders are available widely at department stores. Human hair extensions are generally purchased through salons that provide extensionist services. Info from WiseGeek.
Several factors have to be considered before deciding to have a hair extension. First to consider is the budget. A minimum of $2,000 should be set aside initially that depends on the type/method of hair extensions. It’s always best to get the opinions of at least 2-3 professionals on what type of hair extension process is appropriate for your kind of hairstyle & requirements before finally deciding especially because it involves investment of time & money. For the meantime, before you decide to get a hair extension, take a look at these pictures and see how hair extensions can totally change one’s look.
