'Whistling Cow' is a combination of gorgeous beauty products from,
Backstage at Osman, London Fashion Week A/W 11
Osman is known for his architectural designs for the thinking woman, and this was certainly the case at London Fashion Week A/W 11.
The hair and beauty being created backstage were strictly architectural too, with black, shoulder-length, angled bobs being clipped.
The look that Osman wanted to resemble was: ‘I have been up all night cutting my hair with my boyfriend’s clippers, my bangs are too long but I am hiding behind my fringe.’ This hung on the wall as a mantra for the stylists. However, my personal favourite was the line, ‘Think about chopping vegetables.‘ Needless to say that a designers’ creative license is greater than yours or mine...
The result was a chic and edgy look which echoed the designs from the collection. I’m sure that we’ll see this look coming to a street near you...
Hair and Beauty at Erdem, London Fashion Week A/W 11
Hair and beauty are key to the catwalk looks at London Fashion Week. One name never to disappoint in this category is Erdem.
From last year’s romantic ballet plait and golden glow make-up to this year’s fish tail plait and smoky eyes, Erdem is always one of my favourite inspirations!
Topshop S/S Make-Up Launch, Sanderson Hotel
This week I attended the Topshop S/S Make-Up Launch at the Penthouse of the Sanderson Hotel.
The launch included all the new products for the forthcoming season as well its trend collection: Sandstorm.
Beauty and the Beach

entitled 'Beauty and the Beach' which I absolutely love -
I want that Farrah Fawcett-esque hair!
I think that it's the mixture of 70s glamor,
juxtaposed with the run-down and deserted seaside
attractions that I like.

Dior Grey City Nail Collection

The collection includes three beautiful shades of grey
which were launched at the Selfridges 'Come & Play'
beauty event recently.
I was given the blue/grey 'London' shade to road test.
It is a beautiful unique shade which applies easily and gives a strong,
bold colour which is great at resisting chips - ideal for me!
A/W Beauty Trends
Vamp
The vamp look as seen on the catwalks at Maxmara and Blumarine is a great look for the party season. Keep things light and fresh by avoiding heavy mascara and eyeliner.
Last A/W saw the rise of purple when creating the smoky eye, this year it is all about different shades of grey blended together.
Get the vamp look: MAC smoky eye shadow in carbon, Rituals dark grey eye shadow in Onyx Eyes, Topshop kohl eyeliner in metallic grey, Maybelline Volume Express mascara.
Golden Girl
The golden girl look has been a catwalk favourite with heavyweights such as ChloĆ« and Kenzo. With this look you need to channel the sun kissed 70s look, think Charlie’s Angels.
It is a glossy and light look where the aim is to exude health. Start with an illuminating primer and then use a light layer of bronzer, with a similar hue on the eyes and lip.
Get the golden girl look: Rituals cheek and eye glow, MAC eye shadow in Crest the Wave, Topshop skin glow, No7 brow pencil.

Screen Siren
The screen siren signature red lipstick is big this season. This look was showcased at many shows for A/W 11 including Moschino, Karl Lagerfeld, Dior and Roksanda Ilincic to name but a few.
All you need to create this look is a classic slick of red lipstick, top with lip gloss for intensity, and lashings of mascara. Keep eyes soft and skin radiant to maximise the effect.
Get the red lipstick look: MAC in Ruby Woo, Rituals in Attention!, CoverGirl in Hot, No7 Tangerine Touch.

Neutral
Spring’s pink cheeks have faded into A/W’s neutral tones this autumn/winter as seen at Alberta Ferretti, Victor & Rolf and Halston.
The key to this look is keeping everything looking effortless and radiant. Start with a light foundation or tinted moisturiser on prepped skin, bright eyes with softly blended hues and a glow in the cheeks. Define eyes and brows lightly.
Get the neutral look: Cowshed exfoliator, Rituals foundation, Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, MAC brow set, Pixi eye palette.

A Look at Cowshed
Last week I attended a Cowshed blogger event at their beautiful store on Fouberts Place in the heart of Soho. The perfect location especially as it allowed me to do some shopping, well actually browsing, in Liberty afterwards.
I went along to the event with my friend, also a beauty addict, and we enjoyed a manicure by their fabulous manicurists. The Cowshed manicurists used the Essie products which are long-lasting and they offer a great range of colours. I went for a duck-shell green and my friend chose a beautiful slate grey.
I was already a Cowshed convert but this really confirmed the matter. The products are beautifully packaged, smell fantastic and I swear by the Lippy Cow lip balm which leaves your lips soft, plump and smelling delicious!
